We celebrated Pentecost by having a cultural day. The children were invited to come dressed in their own clothes and also traditional clothes from their countries. During assembly some of the children came up and taught the rest of the school how to say hello in their language.
How did they feel when the Holy Spirit came?
Led by Mrs Asher, the children recreated the Ascension using dance and musical instruments.
May is the month of Mary. Keystage 1 and EYFS made crowns of flowers and processed with a flower to lay at the Mary alter outside on the field. Some of the children led the ceremony with prayers and song.

Giraffe class performed the Easter story to the school.
The children role-played when Jesus arrived in Jerusalem. They made palms and laid down cloth and sang 'Hosanna, Hosanna' as Jesus ( Beau) walked along.
Mrs Austin led the children around the school grounds to follow the stations of the cross in a quiet, reflecting atmosphere.
During Lent we remember that Jesus washed his disciples' feet to remember him by as we prepare for Easter.
The children role-played Holy Communion and we discussed why it was important and linked it back to the Last Supper with the words Jesus used. 'Do this in memory of me'
