    23.05.2025 - The children in Giraffe class had a cooking day on the last day of term, creating a magnificent ratatouille! The children started by planning the recipe and discussing different cooking techniques and a balanced diet. The children then learnt safe techniques to prepare the different vegetables, including peeling, chopping, deseeding, slicing, dicing and mixing. The children supported staff in measuring out ingredients such as oil and red wine vinegar. During the day and whilst preparing our reflections we cooked the dish in two slow cookers. After the children sampled their delicious cooking the children wrote an evaluation.
