Air Class

Term 5

Term 5, can you believe it?  Only two terms left of this academic year to go!  We have lots of exciting learning to fit in.  Hopefully we can enjoy more of our learning outside this term.

Our topic this term is Tremors we will be learning how Mother Nature's awesome energies hiss and roar deep within the earth.

Term 5 Prayer

Lord our God, we thank you for the new life we celebrate at Easter; help us to keep growing in the life that never comes to an end.

We pray for our families, our friends, and all those we care about: fill them with hope and happiness.

We pray for people who are unhappy today: those who are hungry, or homeless, those who fear violence or harm; may they find protection and peace.

We pray for those who are ill, or facing difficulties: may they find hope in the cross of Christ, and be strengthened by the knowledge of your love.

Lord, accept our prayers, and be with us now and forever.
Amen.

Mrs Powles, Mrs Simpson, Miss Ives, Mrs Butcher

Term 5

Tremors.

Overwhelming and mighty, Mother Nature’s awesome energies hiss and roar deep within the Earth. Plates collide, spewing lava. Rocks rain down and mud slides in torrents. Towns and cities vanish under ashen clouds. Discover the dangerous and ferocious world of natural disasters and glimpse their savage and deadly effects. Visit the ancient city of historic Pompeii, frozen in time, then create blistering explosions from model volcanoes that fire foamy lava. Discover the properties of rocks shaped by the Earth’s breathtaking power. Watch out. Volcanologists detect formidable rumblings from an extinct volcano in Scotland’s capital. Red alert! What would you do?

Following the sad announcement of the passing of Prince Philip earlier today, we have produced a short resource you may like to use or share with your children and families. The resource attached provides information to help inform and guide conversations with children about the life and experiences of Prince Philip.
