We are very proud of all our hard work to investigate, design, make and evaluate our D&T product. We have been able to showcase this with the rest of the school.
After exploring national landmarks, we thought carefully about the important landmarks in our local area. We considered what parts people should visit if they had not been to Aylesham before. We have shared verbally what they are and why we should visit them. We then ranked each landmark in order.
After planning and cutting out our template, we were able to create a pattern to make our decoration attractive.
Developing our understanding of the part-whole model is supporting our recall of number bonds.
We have used toolkits to orally explain how to make something to help us recognise the language of instructions.
We have been mixing hues of our choice to create two colour prints layering different prints.
We have explored different types of puppets and how they were made.
We have been learning that each habitat has specific features such as temperature, water and food that meets their needs. We have thought about these habitats and what they can provide.
We have been internalising our model text by adding actions.
Building on our previous Maths understanding, we have been ordering objects and numbers in Year 1.
