TERM 1

Welcome back

We hope that you have had a restful and fun Summer break and enjoyed the warm weather. The classroom is ready and we are excited and ready to welcome you back. Please see below for more information on this first term.

Term 1 - Memory Box

This term we will dig deeper into the past. Can you remember being small? Being a baby and learning to crawl? Do you recall a favourite toy, maybe a teddy bear or a favourite book? Look back at family photos of special occasions, perhaps holiday snapshots or a birthday or two. Remember a wedding or a christening and find a funny photo of your parents when they were young. Learn how to write a diary of days gone by and find out about the days before you were born: it’s called history and it’s all about the past. Then make a special box, a memory box, to keep special things safe. In years to come, you can revisit them and remember how you looked when you were young. Memories are special. Let’s make some more.

 

 **Please wear your PE kit to school on Monday and Thursday **

Forest School is every Tuesday this term. 

Please bring Reading Records to school every day.

Our  school day will be 8.35am - 3.15pm

Please ensure your child brings a water bottle to school each day. 

If the weather stays warm, please remember to apply sun cream before you leave for school.

Please name all jumpers, sun cream, coats, shoes, packed lunch bags/boxes and water bottles.

 

**HOME LEARNING**

Please ensure that you listen to your child read each day and record in their Reading Record. 

You will receive a login to  Times Tables Rockstars and Ed Shed daily. Logins for these platforms will be sent home. 

If you require further support with any of the home learning arrangements, please find someone in Dolphin team.
