Extra-curricular activities at St. Joseph’s
At St. Joseph’s, we offer a wide range of extra-curricular activities. We aim to cater for all interests and regularly ask children which clubs they would like to attend, with the intention that all pupils attend at least one club and attend consistently through the term.
Attending a club builds friendships across year groups, allowing children to learn skills as well as making new relationships.
A club board is displayed in the main corridor showing which clubs are currently on offer.
Here is a selection of the extra-curricular activities we have offered recently:
Mini Vinnies (the children’s’ branch of St. Vincent de Paul)
Key Stage One and Key Stage Two choirs
Speed stacking club
Top trumps tournament
As well as ‘in house’ clubs, we have also employed outside agencies and adults to run clubs. Recently, these have included drama club run by a professional actor and super sports run by a qualified coach.
