What were Tudor houses like long ago?
Week 1 of our Sunflower plants. Dali's has grown and she used a ruler to measure how long the stem has grown. She found it was 3cm already. Lots of children are still waiting for theirs to grow. Alisia said the seeds need , water, dirt and sunlight.
Family came and joined the school children by having a picnic to celebrate 80 years since VE Day. The children were so excited when the ice-cream van came!!
What order did the events of the Great Fire of London happen?
We watched a video and listened carefully about the events of the GFOL. The children then had to put the events in chronological order on a timeline.
We used the instruments and followed the notes on the screen to make a song.
Are all seeds the same?
WS: I can make observations over time.
We talked about what we know about plants and we compared a variety of seeds. We also discussed what they need to grow. ( See Big Book)
The children each planted a sunflower seed and they will keep a diary of its growth throughout the term.
We watched and listened to our webinar all about kindness. The children were challenged with making something to cheer someone up and make their day. Lara chose to make a card and a paper chain for her cousin.
