Year 5 were lucky enough to enjoy a Taster Day at St Anselm's on Tuesday.

First, they were given a tour of the school by Year 7 pupils. Wow! It was big. They had an English/Film studies lesson where they were able to watch film clips from the Indianna Jones films and make predictions about what would happen next - it was really exciting. This was followed by a short question and answer session with Mr Pillinger, the Deputy Headteacher. 

In the afternoon, they enjoyed a PE session with another primary school outside and learnt how to play softball. Finally, and maybe the most interesting lesson was Chemistry, where they found out about making fireworks by lighting different chemicals on the Bunsen burner - it certainly was an eye-opener.
