Geography: Why is the River Dour so significant?

03.06.2025 - The children in Giraffe class worked with the White Cliff Rangers to investigate the River Dour.
The children went into the river to collect kick samples, they then studied the creatures that they found such as a fresh water shrimps and bullhead fish. The children then created mini rafts, they realised them into the river to measure the flow of the water.
We learnt some very important facts:

Only 200 chalk streams are found on our earth and 85% can be found in the UK.
